The fibres we use to produce our textiles have considerable beneficial effects - suffice to think of bamboo charcoal, known to release anions that activate our surface cells, purifying the blood, reducing tiredness and improving our health (underwear ). The milk protein, casein, used to make yam, nourishes and softens the skin, it is anti-bacterial and healthy and can be used instead ofwool for certain articles. Soya, for fabrics with excellent breathability and the capacity to trap heat, is resistant to bacteria, comfortable and known as plant cashmere.
In the heart of Tuscany, Prato has historically been Europe’s and the world’s source for top quality fabrics. Rooted in textile craftsmanship and innovation, Tessile Eco-Bio was formally formed in 2000, backed by long experience specifically in organic and natural textiles. A core part of our ethos is to produce textiles of the highest quality while being environmentally responsible. We do this with constant innovation.
